Our Journey Timeline
The House of Pentecost is a church established on Pentecostal doctrine, which emphasizes direct personal experience of God through salvation, immersion baptism, baptism in the Holy Spirit, and divine healing and focuses on preparing the church for the second coming of Christ. The House of Pentecost was established by Apostle Pastor G.Devaraj in 1975 at Wynchipet, Vijayawada, with faith as its cornerstone.
Founder Apostle G.Devaraj was born In a Tamil Hindu family that was deeply rooted in traditional beliefs, he was leading a normal life and working as a commercial tax officer. He had a divine intervention and had received the calling to serve the Lord, obeying the same. He left his job and family and followed God’s plan.
He served the Lord for 53 years at various locations in India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. i.e., Chennai, Shimla, Nagaland, Gudivada, and Nagpur. And he finally settled in Vijayawada by establishing the House of Pentecost. He served the Lord in Vijayawada until his last breath.

Timeline
2001 - 2002
During his service in the year 2001, Pastor.G.Devaraj appointed Christopher Vijay as a successor to lead the House of Pentecost and its branches. Apostle Pastor.G.Devaraj left for the heavenly abode in the year 2002 on October 13th.
After Pastor G. Devaraj attained glory, the responsibility of leading the House of Pentecost fell upon Pastor Christopher Vijay. He was born into a Muslim family and was working as an associate director in the film industry in Chennai. While working as an associate director on a movie, he received God’s calling and was led by the Holy Spirit to leave the film industry.
Pastor Christopher Vijay was introduced to the House of Pentecost as a translator to Pastor G. Devaraj Garu. Though born and brought up in Andhra Pradesh, Pastor Christopher Vijay was fluent in Tamil due to his stint in the film industry down south.
As he continued translating, he and his wife received God’s call to serve the Lord full-time. Leaving the worldly life of Pastor Christopher Vijay, Sister Rooth Christopher, who was later ordained as a sister, and their daughter Prabhu Krupa Rani dedicated their lives to serving the Lord.
2008
The House of Pentecost achieved greater heights under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the leadership of Pastor Christopher Vijay. It extended its branches into a ministry called Jesus Tower Ministries, which began in the year 2008 on May 18th. This is an intercessory ministry, led by a divine intercessory team called the Jesus Tower team, which offers 24 hours of praise and prayer.
They answer the calls of people seeking prayer for their dire needs and praying for the requests given, not only by the believers. These prayer warriors work around the clock, 365 days a year, supplicating about world situations and praying for 195 countries in the world for salvation, peace, and prosperity. They pray for our nation, India, and its 28 states and nine union territories, as well as for the people leading our country and its states. Not only that, they pray continually for various ministries around the world and also for various current issues in the world.
2020
Christ Power, which is an initiative by the House of Pentecost that was started in the year 2020, is a place where any individual, not only the believers of the House of Pentecost, can come and encounter the presence of the Lord, pray in solitude, and supplicate for their individual needs as well as the needs of the world. It is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. in the evening.
Other than the central faith home at Wynchipet,Vijayawada. The House of Pentecost has three branches situated in Vijayawada: the YSR Colony branch, the Ambapuram branch, the K.L.Rao Nagar branch in Vijayawada, and the Dospadu House of Pentecost branch near Gudivada.

The House of Pentecost is also active in various ministries like providing food and shelter for the elderly, tract ministry, visiting hospitals, gospel meeting ministry, youth ministry, etc. Under the banner of the House of Pentecost and Jesus Tower Ministry.
